Topic: Interactive Agile Simulation

Join us at Bethel College for dinner and an interactive agile simulation led by IT professional and Project Management professor, Chris Corrente.

BIO

As the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, Chris leads teams that deliver and support critical administrative applications at the University.  He is also responsible for fostering key relationships with campus partners, software vendors and higher ed peers to define strategy and promote best practices around the delivery of those applications and how they integrate with other University systems.  

Chris joined the OIT in 2004 as an application developer responsible for managing projects and delivering system integrations for various campus partners.  In 2011 he moved into the role of Director of Student Applications, where he oversaw the delivery of critical services to Notre Dame's student population and student administrative offices. He is a Notre Dame graduate and teaches a project management class in the Mendoza College of Business.

Everyone gets to play the game and everyone is guaranteed to take something away from the evening.

GAME BACKGROUND

The agile simulation game helps highlight the benefits of agile project management, specifically as it relates to user story estimation, sprint planning, strong communication and general teamwork.  During the simulation, you will be part of a team that estimates, plans and delivers low stakes (and hopefully fun) tasks to your "customer."  The team that delivers the most business value to their customer will be declared the victor and have bragging rights for a very short period of time.
