November Chapter Meeting

Adam's career experience and skills have grown from doing what he enjoys, which is problem solving. He enjoys finding a challenge at work and working together with cross functional teams to find the best approach to solving the issue.

He began his career in the military where I quickly rose to squad leader. I loved mentoring and teaching the other marines everything there was to know about our particular jobs. He wanted to take those leadership skills learned in the military and bring them to the next stop in hiscareer.

He is employed in shipping at OMCO. He uses  free time to lead and teach other employees different continuous improvement tools. He has lead teams in different Kaizens for all the departments at OMCO.

The projects and different continuous improvement tasks have reduced changeover times, increased safety measures, and lowered production errors. I want to be able to take these tools with my degree in Quality Management and move into an engineering role in the near future where I can keep growing my skills and continue teaching other employees.

Adam has a degree in Quality Management from Grace College.  Other skills include: Visual Factory, Kanban, 5 Why, 5s, Root Cause Aanalysis, Minitab, Work Instructions, Gage R & R, SIPOC, SWOT Analysis, Process Mapping, FMEA, Error Proofing, Cause and Effect, and Kaizens.
